Curatorial note

Reached Thailand through Khmer, which reached Khmer through the Pallava-Brahmi transmission across the Bay of Bengal — the same route the Thai script itself travelled. Arabic digits are now standard in commerce; Thai digits mark official, royal and traditional contexts.
